We roam from the southernmost stretches of Inyo County to the northernmost reaches of Mono County in California. That’s from places like the Amargosa Basin to the Bodie Hills.

Focus Areas
• Saving the Owens Pupfish and the bistate sage grouse from extinction.
• Supporting the Amargosa Basin National Monument proposal.
• Preventing further degradation of Eastern Sierra valleys and lands caused by groundwater pumping and the exportation of water to Southern California.
• Preserving and restoring habitats, and the wildlife and plant life they support, especially in the Mono Lake Basin and Owens Valley.
• Protecting wilderness and wild lands in the Inyo National Forest.
• Preventing unnecessary minerals explorations and mining extractions on our public lands, such as in the Bodie Hills and on Conglomerate Mesa.
• Appreciating and enjoying the outdoors for what it is.

Projects
• Cone crop surveying in the Inyo National Forest for the Western Reforesting Project.
• Postcard writing campaign for the Public Lands Rule proposal from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
• Composing and submitting comments regarding the initial phase of the mature and old-growth forests definition for the US Forest Service.

Broadlights
• Tabled at the Bridgeport, California, 4th of July Festival.

Wishlist
• To partner with the existing conservation and environmental organizations in the Eastern Sierra.
• To increase membership and member participation in the Eastern Sierra Broadband.
• To support other Broadbands in the California Coalition.
• To fix the world’s food system to become less dependent on animal protein.
• To reverse the effects of climate change and prevent mass extinction.
• To obtain an electric vehicle with high clearance, four-wheel drive, and long range for desert and dirt road adventures.
