Our very own ML “Peg” Herring will be joining us to review her book at our upcoming Book Broads with Carol meeting. Her book, Born of Fire and Rain, A Journey Into America’s Temperate Rainforest is a beautiful tribute to our coastal forests.

There’s sill time to snag a copy of Peg’s book and read it before the meeting or just come to enjoy the discussion with the author. We will also attempt to Zoom it for those who cannot attend in person. Peg is receiving many fabulous reviews like this one from James Barilla, author of My Backyard Jungle:  “M.L.Herring weaves together strands of science and nature writing, local history and memoir to create a contemplative, deeply researched, and sensory-rich portrait of the Pacific temperate rainforest.” The beautiful illustrations are also Peg’s!
