The GRITS (Girls Residing in the South) Broadband is just getting started!  Jean attended the Wilderness Advocacy Leadership Training Session (WALTS) in 2023 and Anne attended in 2017, and we are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work advocating for the wild places in Georgia and the southeast.

We are in the process of brainstorming, meeting with partners, setting our priorities and focus areas.  We are looking to bring together passionate, like-minded individuals who value and understand the need to protect our public lands for coming generations and want to have a good time while doing good work.

We are getting started with a virtual meeting this summer, and plan to have our first in-person meeting this fall.  Please contact us if you are interested in our broadband.  While we are based out of Atlanta,  we are the first Broadband in the Southeast. So even if you don’t live in Georgia but are interested in becoming a Broad or a Bro – please join us!
