When our group was started 27 years ago, our small group brought simple food to share on the trails (hence the “Epicurean” part of our name). We have long since outgrown that custom, and now we have one picnic every August/September where we all bring something to share!

We will be meeting at Reunion Flats (2.5 miles up Teton Canyon) on Wednesday, August 28, at 12:00 PM. There will be a 9:00 AM hike up the Mill Creek Trail that will end in time to make it to the picnic. In addition to our WHALES members we invite some of the local Forest Service personnel. Please bring a dish to share, whatever you feel like providing (we somehow always end up with a balanced mix of salads, appetizers, breads and desserts!).
