Join Pat Boleyn, bird guide, ecology educator and our Eugene area hike leader, for a 3 miles roundtrip hike up the Thurston Hills trail in Springfield, OR. This area was saved from nearby logging by forest defender groups and locals. The area goes gently uphill through the forest for 1.5 miles, then we turn around and come down, unless people want a longer hike.
