Reflection/Evaluation
This event started out looking like another sermon to the choir in spite of attempts to attract a good cross section of folks including local parents. Due to the serendipitous attendence of one local high school student it turned out to be a pivotal event in our small community. The student commented that it was the best night of his life (because he finally found people in his community in rural Oregon that took climate change seriously and wanted to collectively do something about it) and he connected with the author and the attendees and has continued to do so inspiring much activity. As a result of all this a local climate crisis action group formed and have been having regular meetings.
