Short Description of Activity
We met up with a botanist from the Ochoco NF and spent the day looking for and pulling knap weed, as well as looking for and counting wild Mariposa Lillies. Lillies counted outnumbered knap weed pulled by nearly 10 to one! Good news for this lovely meadow area next to Deep Creek.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal was to meet and establish a good relationship with the ONF botanist. She’s fantastic and really appreciated our help pulling weeds and counting a rare lilly in the Deep Creek floodplain.
