Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Advocacy calls/emails/letters (5 comments submitted)
Short Description of Activity
The BLM is updating their resource management plan for a vast area of southeastern Oregon. This plan creates a blueprint for how nearly 5 million acres are managed for decades to come. The BLM’s “preferred alternative” is not one that emphasizes protecting lands with wilderness characteristics, so Broads got together with ONDA to make effective comments.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal was to get as many comments written as possible before the deadline of August 28. We will likely have at least 5 comments sent from the five Broads present. We will also send out an action alert to our mailing list.
