Short Description of Activity
Tabling was going on throughout the day. Presentations were made by local and statewide organizations regarding the effects of Climate Disruption. We distributed newsletters, business cards, brochures and cards and collected names of interested, potential members–only 5 names and emails. Mainly we listened to presenters and watched their films.
Reflection/Evaluation
There were so many different, disturbing talks given throughout the day; it was mind boggling. NM now has a state Office of Renewable Energy. Tribal leaders are getting more involved in fighting oil & gas practices especially in the Chaco Canyon area. I liked the way we talked with others as climate change ambassadors about protection of land, water, wildlife and people. Much was covered on successful climate, land, water, and wildlife legislation that was signed by our NM Governor.
