Reflection/Evaluation
I wasn’t sure I wanted to speak publicly at first, but then, why not? I wrote a statement in my notebook to give before the two representatives of NMED and EMNRD. I first thanked our NM Governor for her leadership in doing all she has to protect our environment and the health of our state. Next, I spoke of the value of good science methods and research to ensure safety and health of our population and health of the land as well, noting smog I have observed in the air near Artesia and Carlsbad. I asked that we move quickly to regulate methane emissions and make industry responsible for the landscape restoration. I ran out of my 2-minute-time limit. It would have been better if I had been more prepared beforehand.
