Short Description of Activity
On-line training for several Water Sentinels volunteers – Jenny, Tom, Gary Beverly, Steve Cook and Jennifer Martin (Chapter Water Sentinel Chair) with Meghan Smart of ADEQ. First training to take extensive water quality measurements on Upper Verde River hoping to name the River an important waterway. We have a few years to sample three times a year for consideration.
Reflection/Evaluation
ADEQ Citizen Science Program is needed because they do not have enough people – there are 100,000 stream miles in AZ and 870 square miles of wetlands. most volunteers are working on impaired streams.
