Short Description of Activity
Wrote and submitted comments on the Draft Southeastern OR RMP Amendment and EIS. Substantive comments were provided on Lands with Wilderness Characteristics, Livestock Grazing, Travel Management, Fire and Invasive Species, and Climate Change. In addition, Kate Hawe provided comments for the Broads on Cumulative Effects, Missing Information, and Failure to Take a Hard Look.
Reflection/Evaluation
This Draft EIS was really bad on many levels. By providing these extensive comments we’ve established standing for the Great Old Broads to comment on any future actions the BLM considers for SE Oregon. We also established an excellent collaborative relationship with staff from ONDA as well as staff from the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP).
