Short Description of Activity
These phone calls are a continuation of the Broad’s effort to join with other non-profits to push for additional wilderness, national recreation areas and stewardship ideas for this area. On the first phone call, we discussed which Wild and Scenic Rivers we thought were worthy of adding to the others already designated in the area. On the second call, we discussed the upcoming meeting with Liv Brumfield, Public Lands Legislative Asst for Rep. Earl Blumenaeur on October 1, more Wild and Scenic Rivers and the issues with including/not including certain areas for protection discussions.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal was to further our proposal about these protections so that we can present it to Rep. Blumenaeur’s office next week.
