Short Description of Activity

Meeting to go over forest plan maps and documents to learn how to effectively comment and advocate for wilderness and healthy public lands. I also spent about 40 minutes talking to one of our Senator’s field representatives about forest wide wilderness possibilities, and why recommended wilderness was the best alternative for protection of the land, wildlife, and watershed.

Reflection/Evaluation

I feel like the time I spent talking to the Sentaor’s field rep. and the two recreation specialists for the Cibola NF was the most useful part of the evening. The Rec specialists were very helpful on how to make my comments about special management areas substantive, and the forest hydrologist and soils specialist was also very useful.
