Key Issue: Wilderness and Monuments
Activity Type: Advocacy (rallies, lobbying, meeting decision makers, letters/calls/emails)

Short Description of Activity
The group got together to discuss possible comments for the final Cibola NF plan. We did talk about Special Management areas and possibilities for recommended wilderness. There are some tiny areas that are in the preferred alternative because they are so remote, with no access and adjacent to existing wilderness. However, there is one larger area that might not get the support of the whole collaborative.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal was to sound out other’s preferences concerning management issues. We are to come up with our proposals for the collaborative by the next meeting on 10/3. I am not sure what the response will be because there are several different meetings to present proposals. Not sure why it is set up that way, but that is what the facilitator set up.
