Short Description of Activity
This was the 2nd of a twice-yearly film festival with a focus on climate disruption, conversation, and building community. In addition to films and many wonderful speakers (scientists and public activists, the RGVBB tabled at the event. The last hour of the 2nd day, we broke into work-groups on everything from media, to wildlife management and public lands, A Green Amendment in NM, changing personal habits, resilience in NM Agriculture, and opportunities to advance climate-related policy at the state and local levels. Mainly, our Broadband (me and Bob) offered to help the event organizer with any needs she had throughout the two-day event.
Reflection/Evaluation
I have joined a google group to work on a NM Green Amendment. I hope we as Great Old Broads for Wilderness can be a sponsor of the April 2020 Climate Disruption Film Festival. I need to find out how to go about this. The Reach Out to the general public needs to be a goal of the next film festival on climate change.
