Short Description of Activity
Robyn presented a slide show highlighting Broads’ concern re: the impact of recreation (especially trails and proposed trails) on wildlife habitat and corridors and recommending changes to the State Grant criteria as well as other suggestions CPW could take. Robyn attended the BBQ on Thursday evening (reported in pre-activity hours) and the CPW meeting on Friday morning.
Reflection/Evaluation
Met all the CPW commissioners over the two days, presented our slideshow to an attentive commission – several of whom thanked me personally, answered a few questions and later learned that one of the commissioners shared the slideshow with a former staffer at Conservation Colorado. Well worth my time even though it too an inordinate amount of time to prepare the presentation (approx 20 hours for a 13 minute presentation!) Lots of research and new learning about trails, State Trails criteria, creating graphics, etc.
