Following the hike to Blaine Basin (a landscape included in the Whitehouse Addition to the Mtn Sneffels Wilderness and part of the CORE Act,) Conservation Alliance (in collaboration with conservation partners) hosted a happy hour at Kiitella art studio .

Reflection/Evaluation

Great event highlighting the wilderness qualities of the San Juan Mountain portion of the CORE Act with short “speeches” from Conservation Alliance (Kirsten Blackburn,) Ouray (Ben Tisdel) and San Miguel (Hilary Cooper) County Commissioners, San Juan Citizens Alliance (Jimbo Buickerood) and The Wilderness Society (Jeff Widen.) A couple of local business owners attended namely our longtime supporters – Tim Patterson (RIGS Flyfishing Guide Service and Fly Shop) and Jill Markey (Alternative Power Solutions.) The event was catered by another CORE Act business supporter Stefan Davenport (Crumb Bakery and Cafe.)
