Short Description of Activity
Our monthly meeting with a presentation regarding the Citizen Science Bighorn Sheep project and education & engagement related to meeting with elected officials.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goals: 1) to educate and engage members in Bighorn Citizen Science project 2) to inform and engage members regarding raising their voices to influence decision makers. Accomplished both goals with several folks downloading iNaturalist app in order to participate in Bighorn Project and 4 members indicating an interest to go to Grand Junction and meet with Congressional district staffers. Unfortunately ran out of time for attendees to practice lobbying, though since only 4 expressed interest, we will prepare and rehearse at a future date.
