Short Description of Activity
Spent the day at the Alaska State Fair with Broadband clothes and information to give out. Had dozens of personal conversations re what is the Great Old Broads and what do we do. Why are we needed. Met everyone from the Democratic AND Republican Party reps to the vendors to the fairgoers.
Reflection/Evaluation
Spreading the word about who are the Great Old Broads, what is the Alaska Soles chapter and what should our immediate vision include. Lots of concern, voices that included Pebble Mine, Tongass Forest, Oil Development statewide, and invasive species spread to Alaska public lands. Decided we should walk in the Palmer parades next year with our banners and members in Broads gear.
