Short Description of Activity
This was the monthly collaborative meeting at which the stakeholders and members of the collaborative council will discuss and agree upon a final draft of comments for the final forest plan and final EIS. Council members are the only voting members; the voting will be done online. Consensus is required.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was the end of a long educational process, involving several field trips, many meetings and phone calls, and time spent composing and responding to drafts of others’ comments. Unfortunately, the agreed upon recommended wilderness component did not make it past the vote because of the misconceptions of Land Grant members.
