Short Description of Activity

This was our bi-annual gathering to encourage old and new members to reconnect or get to know each other and hear about where we’ve been and where we’re heading. The “meeting” part of this one was largely dedicated to describing our new Learning & Advocacy Groups and hearing from those leaders about how to get involved.

Reflection/Evaluation

We changed some things up from how we normally do these. Rather than have a potluck our leadership team provided soup, bread and dessert, and non-alchoholic beverages and wine was available for purchase since we were meeting in a winery tasting room. We had a small group in an intimate setting with some new faces and it was quite lovely. Because of the size of the group we were able to allow everyone to introduce themselves by telling what part of Eugene they live in and what they like about the Broads. People connected for future hiking and carpooling which was great to see. The LAG leaders got folks to sign up.
