Ouray Ice climbing Festival tabling, getting people to sign postcards to Sen. Gardner, and talking to them about the CORE ACT,
Women’s Meeting – Eric Rechel (who is a member) believes women will solve the problems . He invited representatives of local conservation groups to meet for lunch, share what they were working on, problems their organization was having , and get to know each other.
Reflection/Evaluation
Ice climbing festival was fun, felt productive, interesting conversations with people most of whom were supportive of the ACT.
Women’s meeting – was a way to get to know each other more personally , to get to know what our organizations were doing, to see similarities and differences, share info mostly about people, and to start to build a sense of working together for the greater good. I’m pretty excited about the potential of this group. We agreed to meet about every 2 months.
