Short Description of Activity
Landscape is western Colorado. Attended Mt. lion connectivity meeting with revised monitoring units. Attended GoCo Strategic Planning meeting. Attended GVTA Roundtable meeting devoted to e-bike use on trails and agency response (BLM, FS),
Reflection/Evaluation
GOAL was additional learning for me and was met. Will meet with CPW AWM to follow upon both mt. lion and GoCo meeting when we can do that. E-bike meeting was actually very informative. Speaker was owner of bike shop. Increase of # of sales of bikes and costs for the bikes have grown incredibly. Comments by agency representatives illustrated the process to make needed changes in guidelines, in TMP, in determining which trails e-bikes might use. Discussion by recreation groups was open , examples of similar situations (skiing and snowboarding, etc) was helpful.
