Short Description of Activity
We attended a book sale at the Palmer Recycling Center (Valley Center for Recycling Solutions), went to the bookstore and, upon request, went to the Wearable Art program in Palmer, wearing our Broads shirts etc and carrying brochures and information.
Reflection/Evaluation
We met our first new Broad in the parking lot as we were driving into the recycling center. A discussion of Subaru colors and the word Wilderness led to us throwing open our parkas and revealing our Broads logo. WE signed her up to the Alaska Chapter and she became a Broads member!! We went inside and spoke to all of the workers and some of the attendees, left brochures (bought books) and were asked to attend the Wearable Art program later. WE went to the bookstore inbetween to speak to their employees and leave some brochures. We then went to the Wearable Art program where we signed up another member, who was introduced by as VCRS employee. Lots of great Broads out there!!
