Short Description of Activity
telephone discussion with Diane Miller to answer questions regarding her leadership role and lessons learned
Reflection/Evaluation
We discussed more broadly, how co-leaders help, building membership. Diane noted that her biggest lesson learned was to be ready to change one’s expectations, and “go with the flow” and noted a leader’s job is to create leaders and empower others, so a leader must frequently step back and let others do it their way! This is good information and always a good reminder. She noted her challenge was coming up with the right set of activities to keep people interested. She loved meeting groups and like minded women, and finding community resources and connections to be involved. I thinks he definitely met the goal of the call, and our informal discussions helped me and let me know how much experience I can call on in trying to start a new broadband.
