Short Description of Activity
We did Scenario 1. with me as the Broad band Leader of the Roaring River Broadband- Idaho and she was a former CO Broadband member who had moved into the area and was interested in participating. When I asked about her interests she liked stewardship so I offered building/Maintaining Pollinator Gardens and potential River re-vegetation /monitoring opportunities. Since she wanted to learn more about the native ecosystems it seemed like a positive opportunity for both.
Scenario 2. Nancy was the new Leader and I was the Secretary who talked about my pleasure in attending the meetings and learning about the causes/issues for local GOBW Broadband. She was appreciative and grateful for my support and asked if it was a satisfactory volunteer position. I thanked her and also offered to continue and maybe add a monthly newsletter/article as well. She and I brainstormed about putting together a work group with people who might author, graphic design a layout, IT a tech solution to making it accessible to members with older technology/skills so we could build on research, share project ideas with more of the members hoping they might want to get more involved.
Reflection/Evaluation
I think it went well and we both came away in each Scenario with some good ideas and future partnership in the GOBW.
