Short Description of Activity
Phone call with Broadband leader Nancy Ostlie
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal for this activity was to speak with an experienced leader in order to learn things that could be applied to our leadership experience. One of the things that Nancy shared with me, is that she really enjoys the opportunities that are built into our democracy to learn and to comment on environmental issues. By this, she means participation in the public process mandated by NEPA, as well as other opportunities presented by other environmental organizations in her community, which involves public meetings or public presentations. She encouraged me to attend such events in my community, and (when this is possible!) it would provide not only a great learning opportunity, but also great way to connect with other folks who share the same values and help built a new Broadband here in Missoula.
