Short Description of Activity
Our monthly Broadchat topic was Water Issues in Central Oregon led by Tod Heisler from Central Oregon LandWatch and Amy Stuart who’s on the board of LandWatch as well as our Bitterbrush Broads Leadership Team.
Reflection/Evaluation
Tod’s presentation was great. He was able to explain very complicated water law issues related to how our Central OR irrigation districts use water drawn from local rivers and streams for their patron’s benefit, at the expense of fish and wildlife such as the endangered spotted frog.
