Interview with Ronni Egan, Teasdale,UT (Red Rock Broadband?)
Reflection/Evaluation
Great meeting! Quite a character! She was a guide for pack trips on her parents ranch in Santa Fe. Her friend Steve Allen(he was on the GOB Board) invited her to Durango to the GOB office in 2000.It wasn’t long and she became the Executive Director. She was instrumental in starting the On Line Auction. It worked, $65,000 was made the first year. This continues to be an annual fundraising event. She was involved in the Wolf Project and believes in Broads showing up at protests with a purpose and making it fun. When Ronni retired and moved to Teasdale,UT she eventually started up a new broadband and is now the “Senior Advisor to three other broads. She had a kickoff meeting last fall and 20 signed up.They are involved in the litigation’s going on with the monuments. Now they are using the internet and sharing online resources because of COVID19.
