Short Description of Activity
attended the Webinar “Canaries in the Mine” to learn more about the 1/3 decline in the number of birds in the US since 1970 and what can be done to prevent further decline. The presentation was sponsored by the
Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Reflection/Evaluation
This was a rather lengthy discussion and it demonstrated to me how the decline in birds reflects climate change and other environmental impacts of pollution, and human expansion. I hope to contact the Bird Conservancy to see if the Mile High Broad Band could help with one of their projects in the Denver area.
