Key Partners: Myself Boise Broadband Leader in Training
Short Description of Activity
As part of the WALTS Zoom Training I talked to 3 other Broadband members Nancy Frost from Boston area, Jane H. from Portland and Pam Conley the leaving Leader of the Boise Broadband. The phone calls all lasted over an hour. (so maybe 3.75 hours)
I met with Diane Jones owner of Draggin Wings Nursery and Dondi Black an organizer and set up an in the Golden Eagle Audubon Society Chapter each again for over an hour and talked about projects, history and potential future ideas for the Boise Broadband group. Then I composed an introduction letter called Pollinating Much? to introduce myself after contacting Sean Finn about native plant project, Kristen at Boise Parks for potential pollinator garden volunteering (still on hold) and the local independent bookstore about getting copies of the book Braiding Sweetgrass for a book club.
Reflection/Evaluation
I am not sure how to mobilize and organize even after the WALTS and PNW Leaders Rendezvous aside from trying to call people about a meet-up. Not too many replies only about 7 from the members. I have a small project that will need done by 6/5/2020 if we can get a few people involved but may have a couple of new members after today. I also saw Pam briefly when she gave me the GOBW table materials (brochues, T_shirts and old newsletters. Also do I count the hours for the trainings WALTS & PNW Rendezvous?
