Short Description of Activity
Another good webinar by the Alan Alda foundation, this time on combating Fake News. While applying to all Fake News, it dealt a lot with the problems with non-science being accepted as science, particularly with climate change.
Reflection/Evaluation
It provided some solid advice how to combat fake news both in face to face dialogues with friends and in more group settings, which may be adversarial. This foundation works hard on working with agencies and groups to help them learn to explain scientific issues to ‘every person’, to translate the facts and issues into meaningful information for the general public and those who doubt. I love it.
