Activity Type: Stewardship (monitoring, sampling, planting, etc.)
Key Partners: SJMA
Landscape/area: San Juan National Forest (1864595 acres)
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Trail/land monitored (3000 sq feet)
Outcome 2: Hiked (1 miles)
Short Description of Activity
In the first 550 feet of trail, we cut out 27 trees, 5 of which were large diameter aspen. Very complex trees.
Reflection/Evaluation
This trail gets very little use. High clearance vehicle needed to get to trailhead, which is almost at the end of Junction Creek road. We are signed up as volunteers with San Juan Mountains Association, so this is not a SSJ Broadband event. 5 people attended, 3 of which are Broadband members.
