Short Description of Activity
Inventoried weed patches using iNaturalist. Amanda Kuenzi spoke about invasive species of plants and how to identify them. Deb spoke about grazing impacts in the area and how to observe them. Rose spoke about other grazing issues.
Reflection/Evaluation
Good enthusiasm and very dry weather. We met Rick Hardesty on the trail. He had herded the 500 cow/calf pairs up the trail and they did not settle in the flat area as requested. He also told us later that our black bags of weeds we left on the trail spooked his horse. The horse was ok, but a younger one might have had an accident. We learned about many plants besides the weeds.
