Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Stream/river sampled (16 samples)
Short Description of Activity
Eight people working in two teams sample 8 sites every other week. Four people are members of Great Old Broads and four are members of the South Thomaston Conservation Committee. Samples are delivered to local town sewage treatment labs for bacterial testing. Data is sent to Maine Department of Environmental Protection. Sampling was done on 6/2 and 6/17. Each sampling session lasts approximately 1.5 hrs.
Reflection/Evaluation
This sampling season is going very well. The volunteers are committed and interested in the results we are getting.
