Short Description of Activity
Spent 1 1/2 days pulling knapweed and teasel. Spent 1 1/2 days monitoring forest service roads which have been told are close and many of them are not – disruptive to habitat and wildlife.
Reflection/Evaluation
Very hot weather so had to divide the work, which meant one morning going out early to beat the heat. The road monitoring was pretty extensive and we hope to get out and do more. In some cases no roads existed, signage was on fence posts with no road in sight. We did see some closures but many roads were open and even new ones created. Also notes is that people are not very good about picking up after themselves. Mission completed as far as the weed pulling and will take a look again next year.
