Short Description of Activity
First monthly meeting under Covid-19 limits. Short training on using Zoom tools provided by Katya. 30 minutes of “getting to know you” sharing since several new members. Review of Great Old Broads national activities and priorities as info. Most of meeting was spent discussing what members want to do while unable to meet physically. Still considerable interest in learning about and eventually developing activities around estuaries, especially those close to the NH/MA border. Some members are also interested in learning about the Merrimack River system (which flows through NH and empties into the MA estuary closest to the border). Decided for future meetings to educate ourselves about estuaries as we wait to be able to do more active things. Will survey members about preferred meeting times but plan to meet monthly.
Reflection/Evaluation
Good meeting. Goal was to to have greater clarity about topics and to test whether folks wanted to meet on Zoom during pandemic limits. Many members expressed enthusiasm about the chance to learn more about estuaries and said they enjoyed getting to know each other better.
