Short Description of Activity

This was about our psyche’s rights under this time of enormous anxiety and stress. We learned to have gratitude for each other and for the Earth through the presence of women. We were given a toolbox for Lessons nature teaches us. We learned about refocusing light as we are off our circadian rhythm, breaking the rules with too much light. We learned about shinryoku – forests, green spaces, fractals that calm us down. We learned about the part of our brain that is stimulated by the feeling of awe.

Reflection/Evaluation

The activity was time well spent; it was in ways restful. I don’t meditate and find it difficult to take the time for this healthy lifestyle. It was reinforcement that one can meditate for even moments while hiking in the forest, be it mountains or bosque. The goal was learning and being healthy psychologically in this time of stress. I think I met the goal and 3 others who got the link also got something out of it.
