Key Issue: Water-related Conservation
Activity Type: Stewardship (monitoring, sampling, planting, etc.)
Landscape/area: Prescott National Forest (1257005 acres)
Short Description of Activity
Jenny and Gary went out on the Upper Verde – as a Broads activity – because Sierra Club Water Sentinels are prohibited through the end of February 2021. Gary is a Bro. We inspected dispersed camping area at Perkinsville and picked up trash. Sierra Club Yavapai Group put a porta potty out there and it is being used. That is the good news – but it will turn into a pumpkin next week following Labor Day weekend. We measured waterflow at Perkinsville and Bear Siding.
Reflection/Evaluation
Perkinsville issue is ongoing with PNF – we would prefer PNF closed it entirely. see my report on update this date
