Researched current articles on Pebble Mine and emailed with Felicity of Oregon Broads about experiences and issues with same.
Reflection/Evaluation
Wonderful to have the Cascade Volcanoes Broadband involved in this fight. Felicity and Russell have put together wonderful talking points and gotten solid response from their legislators. I also emailed Defend Bristol Bay to get more information about the reason for the earlier veto of the mine permits by the EPA, since overturned, and how it might relate to Pebble’s admitted desire to get a smaller project (less than 15% of the known deposit) approved and then extend the permit to greatly enlarge the scope of the project.
