Short Description of Activity
This was a fascinating and scary presentation, which included discussion about the current threats to Alaska’s Wilderness, public lands and wildlife from the extraction industry, which include Oil and Gas, mining, and logging. It also included a discussion of the roadless rule.
Reflection/Evaluation
It is easy for me to focus on threats to Colorado, and put aside threats to other environments. From this presentation I learned about the threats to migrating birds, and the many animals I love, wolverines, bears, musk ox, caribou and many others that I did not realize were impacted.
