Short Description of Activity
Dylan Plummer, Grassroots Organizer for Cascadia Wildlands, gave us a primer on field checking on public lands in areas for proposed timber sales, specifically the Quartzville Middle Santiam (QMS) by the Forest Service. This is very important in the context of the NEPA process. He talked to us about timber sale tracking and finding and understanding the documents related to all this.
Reflection/Evaluation
Dylan’s presentation was a bit technical and heavy with the NEPA process but still great information. It wasn’t our typical advocacy night but it laid some groundwork for how our Broadband plans to involve ourselves more in this process and get some serious advocacy done going forward.
