Short Description of Activity
Joining with others who often walk their dogs at Little Park Trailhead , we cleaned up the areas relatively close to the parking lot. Trash, broken glass and dop poo were the primary items picked up. The area was heavily used in the time period of the pandemic often by people who didn’t normally walk there — so lots of impact and trash.
Reflection/Evaluation
I was disappointed that more members didn’t come to help, but that may have due to my sending out the notice late. The clean up served to bond the many people who often walk with their dogs there, many people who weren’t part of the clean up offered their tanks for what we were doing and it seemed that more them stopped to take a dog poo bag as they started their walk.
It is not a particularly fun activity, but I’m glad we did it.
