Key Partners: Sierra Club Yavapai Group, Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter
Landscape/area: Prescott National Forest (1257005 acres)
Short Description of Activity
Inspected Perkinsville Bridge dispersed camping and Upper Verde River waterflow measurement site. Good I did. There was a huge bull there on the River where he is not allowed. Took photos of the invader and his tracks to be sent to PNF as part of ongoing issue. PR work with camper – please carry out your trash and do not have campfire or cut live trees for firewood.
Reflection/Evaluation
Cleanest I have seen the area. We still have a port-a-potty there. Maybe Gary has been there again or even (hmmm) the PNF. Mitigation measures expected in November by the PNF – at least a good start to the ongoing problem of human waste and other destruction along the river.
