Short Description of Activity
Reviewed articles and talking points, references distributed by Laurie Kerr, our Cascade Volcanoes Broadband leader. Then drafted, revised and edited comments to the Army Corps of Engineeers, asking them to do further study regarding long term impact of the dam on the fish, vegetation and aquatic life in the habitat. Referred to my personal connection to the area, having recently participated in a stewardship project to restore wetlands in an adjacent region along the Chehalis River.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was a bit of a struggle-just translating the government acronyms, and the complexities of what we’re recommending, but the more I do it, the easier it becomes. I feel good about the end product.
