Short Description of Activity
Cascade Volcanoes hosted a webinar with Kim Ashmore, Director of Public Works, city of Centralia on Phase I and II of the China Creek Restoration Project.
Reflection/Evaluation
Although the attendance was low, the project offered a compelling solution to the flooding issue on the Chehalis without building dams. Linda gave a brief introduction on the Broads organization and Jan Robinson, President of Chehalis River Basin Land Trust, introduced Mr. Ashmore. Mr. Ashmore was very knowledgeable and willing to take questions about the project. The final project is not completed as yet. Mr. Ashmore provided an excellent power point presentation which highlighted the project from a drone during its progression. The link to the recording has been sent out to Cascade Volcano BB members. the registration process has had some difficulty and 4 people who signed up did not have access to the webinar. Laurie sent out the link to the recording to those individuals and said that their donation would be returned.
