Key Partners: CPW and River Watch organization
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Stream/river sampled (1 samples)
Short Description of Activity
I sampled on 11/15/20 the Uncompahgre River and did protocols for pH, Alkalinity, and hardness. I also tested Unknowns for quality control process for their pH, alkalinity and hardness. I packed and submitted 4 bottles of samples for testing of filtered and unfiltered water for metal content from October and November samplings. I submitted documents related to all evaluations I had done. A new volunteer Carrie Krickbaum received 8 hours of training this month so that she can begin sampling Billie Creek.
Reflection/Evaluation
I have received feedback that the Unknowns I tested were suitably accurate assessments so that lends credibility to the river sampling results for October and November. The water of the Uncompahgre is very alkaline and hard.
