Short Description of Activity
In pre-scoping stage. Much discussion with Yavapai Group Sierra Club. In August, Jenny inspected a fish barrier along with Broad Billie Hughes on the West Fork of the Black River. Gary Beverly prepared the letter – copy will be provided for your files – Jenny reviewed and added a paragraph, etc. Sandy Bahr, Chapter Director has reviewed and edited this date. Ready to go.
Reflection/Evaluation
Two fish barriers are proposed – this project is PNF, AZ Game and Fish, Dept. of Reclamation and Fish and Wildlife. We are objecting to one of the sites chosen because of potential harm to environment. Also, they must assure us that the project will have desired results including use of poisons to remove non-native fish (we prefer manual removal) , etc. etc.
