Short Description of Activity

100 plus people today on ZOOM Day of Prayer for Oak Flat – Brytnee from Center hosted. Speakers included Rev. William Barber from People’s March and Man from Mongolia talking about Rio Tinto Atrocities in Mongolia. Another woman talking about same in Australia and Indonesia. Three of Wendsler Nosie’s granddaughters live from Oak Flat. Apache man Tony who died recently with prayers and singing. Attendees came from other tribes around country. Roger Featherstone was there because he later invited us.

Reflection/Evaluation

Excellent program. We are all encouraged to continue to encourage our legislators to stop this atrocity. AZ Broads Roz, Kathy (in Scoping), and Jenny have commented in the NEPA process from the beginning.

Roz and Jenny stopped at Oak Flat in November just in case it is ruined – climbed on boulders, enjoyed the spectacular views and stately oak trees.
